I never really go into Seminyak when I am in Bali because it is just too busy and the beaches cannot compare to those on the rest of the island. However, Seminyak has all the goodies shopping wise. Hence, we did a 24 hour stop Seminyak stop. And we packed in so much in our 24 hours I felt like we were there for a week! I am not going to bore you with our full itinerary but here is a selection of my 'you just have to go there list' :
Mad Pops on Jl. Oberoi.
You've seen the signs on countless insta pics with the 'ice ice baby' sign and yes, this ice cream shop is highly insta-snappable! But even better than that, it has the most amazing ice cream. It's all made out of coconut cream and the cookie dough is wheat-less cashew and dates crumble. DELICIOUS! Did I mention the serving sizes are huge? Don't forget to try the choco-mint one it is to die for!
The Bali Tailor on Jalan Beraban, No 67
Leather done right. Find your favourite design among the endless black leather jackets and boots and then customize it in your own favourite colour choosing from suede and different textured leather in all kinds of amazing colours. I fell in love with a white biker one! (scroll down for photo)
Sea Circus on Jalan Kayu Aya No. 22
Because who doesn't love a big breakfast including avocado and tropical smoothies while being surrounded by a sorbet coloured interior? Also, you get a quote with every coffee purchase which seems to relate to my life every time somehow. Worth it.
Spring Spa opposite of W hotel
Now this was probably the most amazing hour and a half of my whole day in Seminyak. If you're only gonna treat yourself to one spa treatment while in Bali please make it the hair rescue treatment, even if you are bold. I am telling you, it will make you high and love life like you never done before. It is like a hairmask on steroids including hot stone massage of shoulders and neck, arms and legs massage, foot massage and of course, a scalp massage that is out of this world. While the mask is in your hair you also get a steam treatment of your head, cute sarongs to wrap yourself up in, magazines and drinks. I am gonna stop talking, literally just go and book one right away!
We stayed at Victoria Villas Bali which was a complete oasis in otherwise busy Seminyak, plus its down the street from Watercress Cafe if you need to get your Kombucha fix. Then we headed down to Uluwatu for a day at Sunday Beach Club! Scroll down for photos! Off to Canggu!
